Sequoia National Park felt timeless — a forest of giants that have watched centuries pass. The age and sheer size of these trees made us feel like children standing at the feet of elders. Sunlight filtered through massive trunks, and the air was hushed under their towering canopy. We wandered among these living monuments in late spring — here’s what we saw.

Standing among these ancient giants reminded us how small — and lucky — we are. These forests hold stories we hope to keep discovering, one step at a time.

You asked : Do you know how many people need to hug this Giant Sequoia tree?

I guess more or less 25 people to hug trunk(bottom) while 5 people is enough for top of the tree.

(Refering to ChatGPT) It depends on the tree’s diameter:

  • Many large giant sequoias have trunk circumferences of 80–100 feet (24–30 meters).

  • If the tree is exceptionally massive (like General Sherman at about 102 feet around at the base), it can take over 20 people.

If you have a specific tree in mind (or a photo), I can estimate more precisely! 🌲
